5 silver 8×10″ daguerreotype plates. We prepare the copper or brass until we get a mirror polish and without irregularities. The thickness of the silver layer that we subsequently deposit is 40 microns.
It is important that the exact dimensions of the plates are specified when ordering. Most of us use modified film plate holders and the dimensions of the plates do not match the standard measurements. To ensure that you receive the right product we will need those measurements.
It can take two to three weeks for the package to leave our studio (from the time the order is placed), as it is a very thorough and slow process.

Drying Rack for 4×5″ and 8×10″ plates made of solid pine wood. It can hold up to 16 aluminum or glass plates. It’s specially designed to fit in a portable darkroom. When the drying rack is folded is just 5cm thick.
Folded measurements: 18x29x5cm
For plate sizes: 6x6 cm, 4×5″, 5×7″ and 8×10″ (6x6cm 10x12cm, 13x18cm, 20x25cm).
The slots are “V” shaped to safely hold the plates and prevent scratching the emulsion.
