The Calotypes and Salt Paper workshop will be given on-line by Joaquin Paredes through the Zoom platform. Since it's a virtual workshop, we'll do two passes:
- 15th of May from 10-14h and from 16-20h in Spanish timetable
- The 16th of May there will be another pass with a schedule focused on you being able to follow the workshop from South and Central America:
- Mexico, Guatemala... from 8-12h and 13-17h
- Peru, Chile, Colombia... from 9-13h and from 14-18h
- Venezuela, Bolivia... from 10-14h and 15-19h
- Uruguay, Argentina (BA)... from 11-15h and from 16-20h
- In addition, the workshop includes two hours of individual tutoring that you can use when you start the process and have any questions.

The Calotype was invented by William Henry Fox Talbot and consists of a process in which a negative is obtained on waxed paper which is then copied by contact to achieve a positive image. It is a complex process that requires a lot of patience and care to achieve good results.
It is a one-day workshop in which we will learn to make calotypes that we will later copy on salted paper that we will also prepare during the course.
